Sick of having to log in to a 18 billion different news sites to read content? Can't keep track of which fake name or email address you used? Well now there's a way to bypass the hassle of creating accounts just to read the occasional article from far off news sites: BugMeNot.com!
Next time you click a link to a story about how Dubya should be considered for canonization only to redirected to a log in page, enter the site's URL into Bug Me Not's simple form, and out pops a login and password you can use. Simple and unobtrusive. No longer will you have to tell advertisers your household income in order to access insights into whether or not Dick Chaney really does eat babies (but not fetuses, that would be a crime).
What's even cooler is this bugmenot bookmarklet. Right click on that link and add it to your favorites. Then, when you get to one of those obnoxious login pages, go to your favorites and click the bookmark. This will automatically read the site URL you are at and pop up a window with the login you need. Couldn't be easier!
