Nine Days and Counting

The Red Sox start playing the games that count in a scant 9 days. It's getting spring-y in New England, daylight savings time begins next weekend, and baseball starts the next day… how awesome is that?!

There's not much going on in Spring Training, Trot Nixon's out for a while, there's not a lot of drama as to who will make the team, everyone's pretty much ready for the season to start. Since that's all boring, here's a picture of a girl in ads for some online travel site. The ad is an animated gif that changes to a couple more pictures of scantily clad coeds, but everytime I see this ad I think how hot this girl is. Then it occured to me that I'm attracted to her hat more than her other "qualities." That, ladies and gents, is a true sign of a fan. Or something.

According to a co-worker who is nutty fan of MTV’s “Real World,” she is actually a well known cast member of that show. I don’t remember the name. I was reading an article on an online ‘zine one day, and he yells from behind me when the ad flashes, “Oh, look! It’s [blah, blah].” I’m sure if you dredge through the billions of “Real World” fan pages, you can track her ID down…

    I can’t wait either. I’m going for the 999 .. 9 beers, 9 dogs in 9 innings.

    Yankee suck!

So am I going to be the *only* NY Yankees and NY Jets fan in Providence? Thankfully I have a thick skin…

Welcome to bil.com, web! Red Sox fans are always appreciated here. As for Yankee fans… Garris, I may have to ban you from posting. We have a “no rooting for evil” policy here.

And sadly, you’ll find a goodly amount of Empire fans, especially in North Providence, Federal Hill and any other Italian enclaves. The Jets, though… We hate the Jets, they have no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and they are in the Pats’ division. Lots of Giants fans, however.

Yeah Garris I wouldn’t openly admit that whilst in the Boston/RI area you may find yourself in some new cement shoes.
