Walking Into Spiderwebs
Do you ever remember hearing about how, per unit area, spider silk is stronger than steel? I can't measure tensile strength here at home, but I was just powerwashing outside and this spideweb took the full blast of the pressurized water… multiple times. The washer stripped the paint off of shingles, but couldn't take out the spider web.
That's pretty cool.

I wonder whether the spider also felt this was cool.

Obviously the spider was out hunting at the time. I just noticed this morning, in the morning dew, all the spider webs that are strung in between the electrical wires between telephone poles way up high. It was probably near infinity number of webs.
