Stylesheet Fun
I'm whipping up a new seasonal style for A Cry for Help. And, as usual, I am doing it live on the site. So if you're bored and looking for something fun and exciting to do, go down to "choose your views" and pick Spring! (or click here: Spring!) Then keep refreshing until I say I'm done. It's like watching grass CSS grow!
UPDATE: OK, I'm done. Now comes the fun part: whose browser is displaying it weird? Also, I know I broke the old styles in the process, I'm working on them now. But what do you guys think of the "Spring"? I think we all needed reassurance that winter will not, in fact, last forever.
UPDATE 2: People are IM'ing me about the new picture. They're my basil sprouts in my kitchen window (ice crystals courtesy of yesterday's storm). Image detectives will note that the pot and the window are actually photoshopped together (somewhat poorly), but the pot and the window are, in real life, that close to each other. Like the Bush national guard memos, we have false documentation of something that does exist. Unlike Dan Rather, I'll be here tomorrow.

All I see is snowflakes and pastel blue. Looks like the arctic. Am I missing something?

Oh Chuck, that’s not what I wanted to hear. Check the front page. I’ll get to work on the individual entry pages now.
And I had good stuff to post about tonight, too. Oh well. Tomorrow’s another day (in which I won’t post)

It’s nice… soothing green and khaki.

I see the colors (NICE!) but who is Dino Ironbody?
And I don’t see a new picture. I see no picture.
I have an ideas for a new picture. Alan Shawn Feinstein!

James, you techie RSS people will just have to accept that I design for the front page. Only! Unless you are looking at the front page and just getting a big grey box.
And is it you that’s been searching for ASF stuff on this site lately? Someone has…
And re: Dino Ironbody, you’re one of my most reliable regulars, yet I’m not sure if we can be friends if you won’t watch the Daily Show…

relating to your recent update on beekeeping: i had never heard the word apiary until your update. since that entry, apiary and apian have both been answers in the projo crossword. weird.

Knowing that “apiary” was the word for a bee farm got me an automatic A in a class called “The Short Story” taught by a Nigerian.

I still had to click on the link in the post to get to it. But your basil shoots look yummy already.
