Much like the Arab world America has a long way to go before they evolve past this religion crap. That anybody can (and do!) win elections in your country by confessing to be religious is beyond ridicoulos. A man with the intellect of a snail can draw a direct line from religion to your current predicament, so start the anti-missionary work my friends and kick that crap out the door.

Saw Bright Eyes last night. he played this song during his encore. All in all a good show. I’ve seen better and i’ve seen worse. up next, Kings of Convenience, and the Ted Leo, and then the Polyphonic Spree, and then Clem Snide, and then Interpol and Blonde Redhead…..

Yea, I just saw him this past weekend…and he played this song at both of the shows in the encore. It was the first time I had heard it, but I loved it. I like how Conor brings a little bit of politics into his music..he’s got some interesting views.

I saw Bright Eyes on the 7th, and when he played this, I couldnt help but feel shame that I lived in Texas. I love this song. I am SO tempted to email this to the white house, although I know Mr. High and Mighty would never see it.

Jessica, when I read your post, I was ashamed you were from TX, too, and America for that matter. Dubya as President is obligated to protect Americans, protect personal property and provide civil structure for freedom. Gore, Kerry or the Clintons don’t talk to God for fear of being called crazy–by talking to themselves.
