I heard the other day that more Americans than ever are growing disgruntled with President Bush, and it turns out that this particular factoid came from a
50 state poll. What fun! Who loves their Dubya the most? Not Texas, but Utah! In fact, there's only 6 states where our Commander in Chief has support over the 50% mark.
Wondering which state is at the other end of the chart? The state where you're least likely to, say,
get your window bashed in for, say, having a
non-flattering Bush sticker on your car? Did you guess Vermont? Taxachusetts? Oregon? Nope, it's none other than the smallest state with the biggest hate, Rhode Island. Only 1 in 4 Ocean Staters are likely to approve of 43's performance on the job. Ouch.

i’d actually always wondered about that. I made a snide remark about the vice president once when he had heart surgery in a New Hampshire pizza place, and Rob and I had to leave said Pizza place, due to the effect said comment had on the clerk.
I mean, I’m not one to want to pull rank, but let’s just say, on a scale of one to 10, making a snide remark about a man is one thing, shooting him in the face, all together another.

as I mentioned to em this weekend, being a republican myself, I can understand how RI got this “honor”, but what I don’t understand is how his approval rating could possibly be that HIGH in RI. I mean honestly, do 25% of the people you know in RI think bush is doing a good job?
As Jon Stewart said the other night, if four out of five dentists recommend sugar-free gum for their gum chewing patients, that means 20% of dentists are out there saying “rub sugar between your teeth”. And those are dentists! They went to college and everything. So really it’s not surprising that you can get 20-25% of people to agree to any sort of ludicrous proposition. I figure if you ask most people, they’ll have no problem stating that 1 in four people they know are, indeed, batshit insane.
