I subscribe to one of those credit score monitoring services, and apparently Christmas has not been good to my FICO score. I didn't go overboard or max out any cards, but just my one day shopping spree seems to have lowered my score by 5 points. So if you're shopping for a car loan, mortgage or car insurance this January, make sure you pay off all that Christmas cheer!

What service do you use? I’ve looked into those before and they always seem way too expensive, any recommendations?
Same question as Joe. But we already have cars, a mortgage, and insurance, so I don’t think there’s really anything else we can fuck up. Except identity theft. That’s good to keep an eye on I suppose.
I use myfico.com because it’s the official scores from Fair Issacs. Apparently some “scores” are not the official FICO scores. It’s $9 a month, which isn’t bad. Try this discount code: MW01
If you’re done applying for stuff, I’d put a freeze on my accounts. That’s the best way to avoid fraudulent accounts getting opened, I think.
